INSPIRATION!!!

Inspiration Workshop was a HUGE success!
Everyone had a great day
(except for the three students that had to take kits -
we missed you guys!)
So here is a picture of the project...
We used the new Donna Downey 12" X 6" canvas book and it was wonderful to work with - so much fun!
Here are some pictures as I was preparing the kits and all the goodies that went into them....
and here is the picture of all the kits finished....
and how they looked in the classroom...
Everyone flipped out over their bags and packaging....

Students hard at work...
love this one of Regina...
Dia doing some glittering with the fabulous "Glitter Ritz" line
If you have not tried it I suggest you do
Puts glitter in a whole new category of FABULOUS!!!!
(you can order it at http://www.scrapperscove.com/)
Sandy is sewing away
Raelene is very proud of her painting - looks great!!!
and I am so proud of the awesome polka dot dinner plates
I found to serve this lovely group of artistic girls their lunch on....
LUNCH!!!  oh yes!!!
and it was delicious if i do say so myself
How about Chinese Chicken Salad
Ravioli Lasagna
some good old mac & cheese
and there was also wonderful bread
I did not take a picture of dessert but it was delicious
they were Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Squares
Everyone wanted the recipe so here it is....

Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Squares

2 pkgs refrigerator chocolate chip cookies
(this time I used the toll house ultimate cookie dough
3 pkgs – 1 1/2 for top layer and 1 1/2 for bottom layer)
2 8-oz pkgs cream cheese – regular or light
2 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbs vanilla
confectioners’ sugar

Grease a 9” X 13” pan
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Layer with slices of one package of chocolate chip cookies
Beat together cream cheese, eggs, sugar & vanilla
Spread evenly over cookies
Top with slices from remaining package of cookies
Bake 35-45 minutes
Let cool
Sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar
Chill in refrigerator
To serve, cut into squares

These are SO easy and SO delicious!
Hope you enjoy them....

It was hard to get back to work after all that food but
these students are great and determined to work!!!!
Back to class....

We laughed so hard because of Debbie - she is the sweetest,
but she "stole" one of Sandy's boxes and had NO IDEA!!!!!
You had to be there, but trust me when I tell you
it was funny...

Dia is very proud of her "LADY"
We all loved making these mannequins and the tag attached
to it in the book says
"HELLO GORGEOUS"

I love my students SO MUCH that I sewed the ruffles onto the
canvas page for EVERYONE!!!!
(after Lauren and Regina patiently help me fix the machine!!)

I had the BEST surprise
A visit from two wonderful friends / students
Rachel and Lise (and Regina is in the picture too)

As they say "all good things must come to an end"
Here is Pat admiring her inside covers

It really was a fabulous day and I was so happy
everyone had such a good time.
I really do have the BEST students!!!!
And...Scrappers Cove is the best place to shop....
(here is their website again http://www.scrapperscove.com/)

So until next post
(do not even ask the issues i have been having with this blog!!
I was only able to post by going to Internet Explorer first
and then bringing up my blog and posting.....)

I leave you with this....

"TO LIVE A CREATIVE LIFE WE MUST LOSE OUR FEAR
OF BEING WRONG!!"

Have a great Sunday!

Hugs and More,
Peggy
